Have you ever fancied a bowl of cereal after a night out but simply not been able to track one down amongst all the fry-ups?  Ever been on the way home from work and craved a quick bowl of Frosties or Coco Pops before hopping on the tube?

If you’re shouting ‘YES!’ at your screen right about now and you happen to either live in Shoreditch, be moving there, or just passing through the area then you are very much in luck.  The brainchild of identical twin brothers Alan and Gary Keery, Cereal Killer Café, the UK’s first cereal café, opens it’s door on December 10th at 139 Brick Lane and bog standard breakfasts in East London will be a thing of the past.   At least for those who prefer a bowl of Cheerios with strawberry milk to a bacon and egg sandwich!

Cereal Killer Café will offer over 100 different varieties of cereal, 13 different types of milk including Soya, Rice and LactoFree as well as 20 different toppings.  The twins are kitting out the place with vintage cereal memorabilia to stir up nostalgia and TVs will be playing cartoons to visiting cereal connoisseurs to bring back childhood memories.

If you’d rather just have a bit of toast and some top quality local coffee then no problem either.  You can even choose from 18 different types of Pop Tart!

Alan and Gary were initially looking to find capital for the venture through crowd funding website Indiegogo but when the campaign ended on July 1st after three months on the site it had raised only £1015 of a £60,000 target.  A message posted by the brothers later stated that whilst they hadn’t reached their target the campaign had given them the exposure they needed and some exciting news was forthcoming.  It seems that, with cereal cafés already established in the US, somebody came forward and backed the venture.

Here’s a video Alan and Gary posted back in May.
